A pound of imagery

Ezra insists on his pound of images.I say let there be commerce between us.Am I just being pound foolish, penny wise?

His poetry’s soul comes into my verse. My golden I sphere is melted in him.You know we are of the same sap and same root.

Remember I am taking only some pennies.I owe my pig-headed father a wee bit, one or two pennies ,so like him I can be wise.

(Remembering the lovely images in Ezra Pound’s poems A pact and Histrion)
